I can’t believe this is the last day of 2012! Well, I’d better believe it because tomorrow is 2013! This has been an interesting year. I started it out with Shingles! That wasn’t fun! Jerry took good care of me! What would I do without him?
I went to Colorado in March to celebrate my mother’s 98th birthday! Happy Birthday, Mother!
Jerry and I went on a trip with daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Gene, to Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada to attend our granddaughter, Annie’s high school graduation.
We had a great time and traveled part of the way on US 2, my favorite highway!
We had a wonderful time stopping at the Mall of America and other places of interest.
We all had a wonderful time with son, Tim, Shauna, Annie and Kaleb.
Here we are with our beautiful granddaughter, Annie, on her graduation day.
Our daughter, Christy, and her whole family
came to visit us from South Carolina! It was so great to see them all!
We took a picture of all the grandchildren who were here with
Jerry and me. Megan, Max, Jerry, Haleigh, Miller, Armon, Bella, Elmise, Maddie, Me, Mason.
We went to a horse show, granddaughter, Sydney, was competing in. She took third place! Congratulations, Sydney!
My beautiful sister, Lorraine,
passed away very suddenly on September 4, 2012. I flew out to Oregon for her memorial service. I miss her so much.
I got reacquainted with some of Lorraine’s family. I
love all four of her daughter’s and their families.
In October I flew to Colorado again to visit my
mother and brother’s families. I learned in September that loved ones can leave us at any time. So I spent some quality time with my brothers and their families.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with son, Ted and Sydney and Bella. Six Chinese university students joined us for dinner. It was their first Thanksgiving dinner! Ted is missing from the picture because he took the picture.
My wonderful school friend from over 50 years ago and his wife came to
visit us! Our friendship and conversation just picked up from all those many years ago like it was yesterday! What will 2013 hold for us? We’re planning a trip soon to visit Dean & Norma in their log home! Great minds think along the same channels! We discovered we both live in Michigan and both built log homes!
We’re ending this year with grandson, Armon, staying all night with us! He and I will have a
See you next year! Happy New Year!
